The Jr.High/TFC group provided lunch last Sunday (October 25) as a fundraiser for their annual project of providing Christmas presents to the children at Cunningham Children's Home in Urbana. Donning seasonal Christmas Elves caps, the group helped prepare and serve the meal consisting of three flavors of chile, chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, sandwiches, salads and desserts. And yes, they even helped clean up after the lunch was over!Jan Baker, the Coordinator of the Guardian Parent Giving Program at Cunningham, was our special guest Sunday morning and spoke during the Worship Service. Through both the children's message as well as specific examples of her experiences at Cunningham, Jan reminded all of us that when we put God first in our lives, there's plenty of room left for all the other fun things. She expressed thanks and appreciation to the TFC kids for showing a willingness to look beyond themselves and share God's love with others.
