Last night we had a Vacation Bible School meeting.
Plans are being made for a great VBS this year.
The title is" Kingdom of the Son", the focus is the Lord's Prayer, and the theme is a safari. We will all be learning the Lord's Prayer in Swahili on this journey!
VBS always needs many volunteers. So please consider volunteering for this fun summer activity.

ReplyDeleteThe offering for VBS this year will go to education scholarships for youth and children in Liberia. These children do not have access to schools or an educations without scholarships.

Junior/Senior High $125 per year
University Student $350 per semester
This offering contributes to a growing relationship between the Illinois Great Rivers and Liberia Annual Conferences of the United Methodist Church. For additional information on Liberia, try starting at the Wikipedia article.
The snacks have been slightly changed to better reflect the animal that represents the theme for the evening. The children will also be learning the sayings in Swahili.
