Graduate Recognition

Today during the worship service we honored twelve students, ranging from junior high to Ph.D., who are graduating this month. A special reception/brunch was held following the service. The HUMC family extends congratulations and prayers to all these young people as they continue their academic and professional lives.

A special children's time

We had another special time at church this Sunday. During children's time, Karin increased our awareness of the disease which her grandaughter has, MPS-III or Sanfilippo Syndrome. Karin talked about struggles in life and how God is there in the midst of them. Afterwards, family members distributed lollipops and cards with information. Please check out the site Livlife. We all pray that awareness for this disease is raised and a cure is found.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day at HUMC was very special. Many thanks to the UM Men's group for the beautiful flowering plants for all the moms.

National Day of Prayer Service

This morning members and friends gathered at HUMC to join an estimated 2 million other U.S. citizens in over 30,000 organized services to observe National Day of Prayer. There was a short service of worship and prayer followed by breakfast.
